Flags have been lowered this week in honour of Diana Pickett who passed away on Friday. Diana was a Member for 35 years and played a big part in organizing so many of our ladies’ leagues and tournaments including the RMH Ladies Classic. She was an enthusiastic supporter of Club tournaments and social events and will be missed dearly by her SGCC friends and family.
Congratulations Claude Ouellet on his Hole-in-One August 12th on Hole #8.
Did you know…for the average golfer there’s a 12,500 to 1 chance of making a Hole-In-One. For a low handicap player, it’s 5000 to 1. In terms of frequency, the statistics say once every 3500 rounds. Last year, SGCC averaged SGCC averaged a hole-in-one every 2300 rounds. This year to date, we’re averaging one in every 1750 rounds.
Have a Great Week,
McLaren Taylor
