Special Announcement - New COVID-19 Restrictions
With today’s announcement of mandatory indoor masking starting Friday September 17th, members and guests are required to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces including locker rooms and washrooms. Masks may be removed while seated in the indoor dining areas.

The
Senior Men’s Syndicate held the annual
Barry Grosse Scramble last Thursday. Congratulations to the winning team of
Barry Brusky, Mel Humble, Garth Evans, and
Dale Braitenbach. A big thanks to
Mel Grosse, who donated water bottles for the event which honours his brother and long-time SGCC Member, who passed away in 2008. Results and photo of the winners are posted <

- Note: The Senior Men’s Syndicate will be running the Slyder Cup next Thursday…and then finish the season on Thursday September 30th with the Geriatric Classic.
The
Couple’s Classic last weekend had 49 teams participate in a modified alternate-shot format. The teams of
Jacquie and Christopher Harris and
Jackie and Chetan Thakore tied with a score of 75…and first place honours went to Team Harris on retrogression.
Tuesday Ladies Day will run their final golf day next week on Tuesday September 21st. There were 37 different ladies who played on Tuesdays this year. Coordinator Norma McIver wishes to thank all the ladies who supported Tuesday events.
Good Luck to the
SGCC Men’s Team playing in the
Louis Riel Cup this weekend against the Royal Regina Golf Club. The event starts tomorrow afternoon and runs through Sunday in Regina. It’s the third playing of this event, with the home team winning previous events held in 2017 and 2019. The SGCC Team includes:
Greg Swenson (Captain), Moe Al-Mahdawe, Matt Procyshen, Chris Schneider, Davis Yuzdepski, Dave Stewart, Keegan Boire, Shaun Dunphy, Landon Emberly, Denver Grolla, Michael Smith, and Paul Tastad.
In the absence of a recent hole-on-one,
congratulations to Frank Hilbert on an amazing round of golf last weekend. Frank has been a member since 1969 and birdied all four par-3s on Saturday for a round of 75. Frank was playing the white tees and just turned 80 on September 6th.
Weather permitting, the golf course will be open
until Sunday October 17th. The Grab-and-Go will remain open if the course is open, and Restaurant services will be available regardless of weather until October 17th.
