It was a busy week at the course, despite the weather:

  • The RMH Red Jacket Classic on Monday was a Disney theme this year. (photos below) The ladies experienced a morning power outage and a breezy afternoon, but had a great time again this year.
  • Men’s Night on Tuesday evening went ahead without carts, sponsored by Koncept Sign Group (Derek Reimer) and Wellington Altus Private Wealth (Curtis Kimpton).
  • Women’s Night on Wednesday was a bright spot for weather this week, sponsored by UofS Arts & Science (Darrin Oehlerking).

The driving range remains closed for now, but the course and 3-hole loop are open, with no carts allowed today.

The Reliance Gregg’s Central Amateur is on this weekend. Draws and Live Scoring are available <HERE> on the Golf Genius tournament page. Or use the GGID: SGCCCAM24

One of 3 spots for SGCC Members into the Canadian Men’s Amateur will be awarded to the top SGCC finisher in the Reliance Gregg’s Central Am. Qualifying information for the SGCC exemptions is posted <HERE>. Other spots will be awarded at the Affinity Credit Union Club Championship on July 20th & 21st.

Note: Entries for the Club Championship are now open <HERE> on Golf Genius.

Men’s Night next week is sponsored by Molson Coors (Travis Burgess) and HVAC Sales & Service (Blake Erb)

Women’s Night is also sponsored by Molson Coors (Travis Burgess)

Course maintenance/etiquette reminders:

  • Please remember to fix ball marks, replace or sand your divots, and rake the bunker after you play your shot. An overwhelming majority of our members will attest that these items are not optional or negotiable.
  • Sunflower seeds are never allowed on the golf course. They're acceptable at the game, the lake, and maybe your backyard…but not this one.

“Not So...Fun Fact…last night’s rainfall was 36 millimeters, which brings our total up to 225 millimeters this year, or the same as all of last year’s rainfall.

Good Luck to all the competitors in the Reliance Gregg's Central Amateur, and Have a Great Weekend.
