The 2024 Golf Season kicked off yesterday, and for the fourth year in a row we had nearly-full tee sheet (243 players) to start the year. Fun fact…the four-year average is 245 golfers on opening day! The weather has played a big part in getting a running start each year. That said, I don’t think weather matters much to yesterday's lead group...pictured below.
By all accounts, the course is in good shape considering the unusual winter. The putting green near the clubhouse has a few rough spots, but it's been over seeded, and remains in use. The new putting green next to the 1st tee is still covered to warm up the soil for seed sometime in the next few weeks.

Play will be re-routed at the 1st tee all next week for work on the cart path, as new asphalt will be added near the starters shack, and just past the new putting green. This will keep the congestion down and traffic moving when the new curbing is added in the next few weeks. The rest of the paving project will extend the existing path another 50-60 yards, taking carts past the alkali trouble spots.

Registration opens at 12 Noon next Friday for the Spring Thaw presented by Collision Plus Autobody (Dale Huber). More about the Spring Thaw...and other club tournaments <HERE> on the "Club Majors" page.

Junior Orientation is next Saturday at 10:30 am and 11:00 am for new juniors, and any that want to come for a tour of the facilities, followed by optional play on the 3-hole loop. Junior Rules Clinics are set for May 5th (advanced) and May 26th (beginner). And Junior Group Lessons are set for Mondays and Wednesdays starting on May 6th. All the dates and sign-up links are also available <HERE> on the Junior Program page.

And of course…Mother’s Day Brunch is May 12th from 9am-2pm. Contact the office at 306-931-0022 or [email protected] to reserve.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
