The Annual Member Survey closed on Tuesday with 208 responses. Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer questions and provide comments. Responses are being reviewed and results will be shared next week.
As always, the survey was anonymous with an option for comments in each section. Many of the comments included specific concerns or questions that might be resolved or answered in a phone call or in-person meeting. And certainly, there are valid concerns to learn from, and make improvements. Members may see general concerns addressed in news updates or year end reports, and anyone with more specific concerns or questions is encouraged to get in touch with management or a member of the
SGCC Board.
With that in mind, there were many comments about the August aeration and damage to the front-nine greens. At the time, it was shared that the cause was an issue with the aerator. Terry met the Board that week to review the mechanical issue, and explained an error in procedure that repeated damage through all 9 greens. A full review of the process was done that week, and a plan has been put in place to prevent it from happening again.
Again, the survey responses are very much appreciated. Watch for a smaller survey prior to the start of next year’s golf season with questions on more specific policies and day-to-day operations.
Nominations are being accepted for the Board of Directors. Elections are held in January, prior to the Annual General Meeting. The nomination form is available <

Our SGCC Staff Appreciation Night is tonight. Thanks again to everyone who donated a prize or made a financial contribution. It’s a carnival theme with games to win tickets, and ticket draws for prizes. Kayla and the rest of the management team (with your contributions) have put together a fun night in appreciation of our incredible summer staff…complete with duck pond, plinko, milk bottle game, and cotton candy machine!
Have a Great Weekend.
