Progress on course projects now includes the sod we’ve been predicting for several weeks. The truck arrived on Tuesday evening and sod installation started Wednesday morning. Tee boxes on hole #18 are now complete, while the tees on #15 are 95% done. Over on the new putting green, the final shaping is ongoing today with sod arriving early next week and seeding the putting surface to finish in the spring. See photos below.
Member Statements went out last week. Remember that October 31 is our year-end, and we hope to see accounts up to date at that time. The club’s AR policy applies interest to balances that are more than 30-days past due when the statement is issued. At 60-days, accounts are suspended which affects members who are on monthly membership payment plans. Check your statement for past due charges and contact the office with any questions.
If you haven’t seen the ads on our social media, SGCC’s (Kayla’s) first annual “Sip and Shop” Craft Show is October 21st from 10-4 and Oct 22nd from 10-2. There will be 24 vendors in attendance, and the restaurant will be open with limited menu service during show hours.
The SGCC Staff Party is just a few weeks away. Thanks those who dropped off a monetary donation or giveaway prize. Some have asked to use their member account...and so we created a link <HERE> for anyone who wants to contribute to the general staff fund. Note: The SGCC Staff Party is in appreciation of our fantastic hourly/seasonal employees, and their wicked managers don't participate in any financial or material gains. Kayla wanted me to mention that…you get the idea.
Remember that the course and restaurant will be closing Sunday.
- Bags in club storage must be taken home for the winter.
- Lockers can be cleaned out and left open for cleaning over the winter.
- The Pro Shop will be closed October 16-18 as the staff attend a merchandise show in Alberta.
- Office hours next week and through the off-season are 9-4 weekdays.
Member Updates will continue weekly, but as the season comes to an end, I want to include a wholehearted THANK YOU (on behalf of all the staff) for your support in 2023.
Have a Great Weekend.
McLaren Taylor
General Manager
