The SGCC Annual General Meeting reminder is Tuesday January 20th at 7pm. The AGM Package, GM Report, 2025 Financials, and Finance Report are posted <HERE> on the Member Dashboard. The election for 3 new Board Members closes at 12Noon today. Eligible voters will have received a ballot notice this week from “Simply Voting”. Candidates include current Vice President Wes Ramsay running for a second term, and E.J. Babey, Joseph Blondeau, Malcolm Meekins, Bill Muirhead, Zak Parker, Ian Poetker, and Tyler Sharp (Sharpy), and Dustin Skitcko all running for a first term. Membership Dues are billed at the end of January for all members who have not pre-paid or are not on the monthly payment plan. Membership Status changes for the upcoming season can be made by contacting the general office. Email [email protected] or call 306-931-0022.
Changes that are made by January 28th will be reflected on your statement. Otherwise, members are billed in the same category they were billed last year. Please note that the membership roster is managed by category with separate waitlists and a range of availabilities. For more information contact the office.
A Monthly Payment Plan is available, which runs from November through October. Installments are billed to the member's account on or about the 15th day of each month, and payment is taken automatically from a credit card or bank account.
- February 7th is the deadline for existing members to switch to the monthly program.
- Enrollment for monthly billing anytime before the February 7th deadline requires a catch-up payment, and some paperwork to authorize the automatic monthly payment.
- For members not on the monthly plan, and not pre-paid, membership fees are due by April 1st.
Junior Memberships: An email was sent to junior members this week, asking for confirmation of membership by January 28th. Interest in the program has generated a long waiting list for junior membership, and we would like to give those families and answer as soon as possible. Unconfirmed spots will be offered to the waitlist in February. If there are any SGCC Members (in any category) that want to add a new junior (child or grandchild) to the junior program, please contact the office as soon as possible.
As an update on the New Maintenance Building, workers returned on January 5th to continue work on a fully closed-in building. The space was heated through the holidays to thaw the gravel-base floor. Installation of plumbing supply and drainage lines is ongoing. Once the lines have been run, the floor will be re-packed, and the vapour barrier and rebar will be installed. Barring any delays, the concrete floor is scheduled to be poured in two stages starting on February 2nd.
