It's hard to believe that we're into December updates already. A little snow cover since the last update is a welcome change. With a number of Christmas events to host over the next few weeks, it's always better to have a blanket of snow. A little more between now and January is good too for a thicker blanket to protect the course through colder temperatures.
Construction on the New Maintenance Building is ongoing as work is scheduled right up to the 24th. Most of the outer shell and roof sheeting has been installed. The goal is to be weather tight by Christmas, and heat the building over the holidays. Pluming will be run first thing in January, and the concrete floor will likely be poured at the end of Janaury.
Nominations for the SGCC Board of Directors closed yesterday. The Nominating Committee wants to thank those candidates and the nominating parties for their interest and support. The Committee will review and report to the Board at next Thursday’s meeting. The list of nominees will then be shared in next Friday’s update. Also watch for more information in the next few weeks on the year-end, January AGM date, and the AGM package.

Members who pre-pay their 2026 dues are eligible for a weekly $500 Pro Shop credit draw through December 19. Draws are made at 12Noon on Fridays…and there’s still time to get in on the remaining 2 draws. Contact the office at 306-931-0022 to arrange payment. Remember that a 2% fee applies to memberships paid by credit card. Alternative payment types include: Etransfers, Online Banking, cheques, and in-person debit.
Office hours through the winter are 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
The Pro Shop has shopping hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm next week and the following week. SGCC hoodies and quarter zips have been in for a few weeks. New items from Malbon and Lululemon have arrived, along with a good selection of new SGCC putter covers. Callaway Chrome Soft, Tour, and Tour X are on sale at $59/dozen or 2 for $100.
