The 2025 Staff Party last Saturday was a chance for our summer staff to celebrate the end of another golf season. A huge thanks to all the members who donated to the staff appreciation fund. There were 56 members who used the online form, plus dozens of members who dropped off gratuities and prizes. Thanks also to the members who volunteered their time to work the staff party as bussers and servers. Obviously, a World Series Game 7 dominated the evening’s entertainment, but when it was all over the group moved on to door prizes and impromptu karaoke. I also want to thank all the members who look after our seasonal staff during the year with gratuities, doughnuts, muffins, and other treats. These are the things that make SGCC a special place to work, and the staff greatly appreciate your support.
Fun Fact: 84 members have pre-paid their 2026 Fees for a chance to win...up from 66 names in the first draw last year.
Congratulations to our first $500 Pro Shop Credit Winner: Bryce Barrie
Members who pre-pay their 2026 dues are eligible for a weekly $500 Pro Shop credit draw through December 19. Draws are made at 12Noon on Fridays…and there’s still time to get in on the remaining 6 draws. Contact the office at 306-931-0022 to arrange payment. Remember that a 2% fee applies to memberships paid by credit card. Etransfers, Online Banking, cheques, and in-person debit are available.
Call for Board Nominations
The SGCC Board of Directors has 3-spots up for election every year, and nominations are being accepted for this year’s election. The nomination form is available <HERE> for qualified members to put their name forward. The submission requires a short biography, and 5 endorsements from other SGCC members. Nomination forms can be sent to the office, or to any of the 3 members of the nominating committee listed on the form.
