10/10/2025
It’s been another incredible week for golf, with exceptional weather for this time of year. Our first frost delay this morning was short, and all players got out to enjoy another great day. The course will remain open until Wednesday, with at least one more sunny day in the forecast tomorrow.
Members are asked to take their clubs home, and any personal items you might need by Wednesday, or sooner that if you don’t plan to play next week. Lockers that are cleared out can be left open for cleaning. Just lock the lock on the inside latch. If you leave it locked, it will stay that way through the winter. Just be sure to take anything out that shouldn't spend the winter here.
- The Office will be closed on Monday for Thanksgiving and open again from 8:30-4:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday
- The Pro Shop will be open until Wednesday from 8:00am to dark
Note: The Clubhouse will be closed on Thursday, October 16th due to a full-day water shutdown affecting the course and surrounding area. SaskWater is completing water line work on Melville Street next week...and hopefully opening the road for traffic soon.
- The Office will be open again on Friday from 9am-4pm and continue with those hours from Monday to Friday each week.
- The Pro Shop will be open on Friday next week from 9-4, but not October 20-22 as staff will be away at the Alberta Buying Show.
Our phone lines are being worked on again right now. The office line was repaired this morning, and the rest should be in service sometime today. A power outage on Monday evening knocked out most of the course lines in a junction box down from the course.
Congratulations to Reid Corbett on his Hole-in-One Tuesday on Hole #12.
That’s a total of 20 this year, with 4 aces on Hole #6, 12 aces on Hole #8, 3 on Hole #12, and 2 on Hole #15.
Staff Gratuity Fund
Our year-end staff party is scheduled for November 1st, and a number of members have made generous contributions. Thank you. To charge a donation or staff gratuity to your club account, click <HERE>. Donations are used to pay for event expenses, and prize giveaways. Managers are involved in planning only, as donations and prizes are for the benefit and appreciation of our summer staff only.
Remember that Member Accounts should be current by the end of October. Any balance that is more than 30-days past could affect the renewal of monthly membership payments, and larger outstanding balances are often flagged during the annual audit. Statements for September were issued by email last Friday, and always accessible through the Member Dashboard.
Annual Member Survey
The Annual SGCC Member Survey is an opportunity to let us know what you thought of the 2024 Season. Results are used to make operational improvements and better understand our member needs and interests.
Management and the Board of Directors thank you in advance for your participation.
