As the season winds down, SGCC Members continue to enjoy warm weather, green fairways, and beautiful fall colors. A big thanks to the grounds crew for a great season, particularly as they attend to fall/winter close-up duties.
With our year-end in sight, below are a few general reminders:
- The last day of golf and restaurant service will be Wednesday, October 15th.
- The driving range is moving to "mats only" on Monday, October 6th
- Food service in the grab-and-go and restaurant continues as usual, but availability for some food items may change as stock is reduced for year-end.
- With limited staff on Thanksgiving, we won't be running a buffet supper this year, but as indicated the restaurant is open throughout the holiday weekend.
- Office hours will be 9-4 starting on the 16th.
- The Pro Shop will have limited hours October 16/17 and will be closed October 20th-31st as staff attend fall business and buying shows.
- Remember to clean out your locker and take clubs home after your final round...or make plans to pick them up before the course closes on the 15th.
Bake Sale Orders are due today. Click <HERE> to place your order. Item descriptions are available <HERE>
September Statements are going out this afternoon.
- Members are reminded to have accounts paid off by the end of October. This is particularly important for anyone on the monthly payment plan, as the membership will not renew for anyone with a balance.
- Remember that Online Payment was introduced this year to settle an account balance though the SGCC Member Dashboard when you click on “My Statement”. The online option allows you setup a payment using your bank/credit card. There’s no additional fee, as credit card fees only apply to annual membership dues. Payment information is safe, secure, and available anytime. More details and instructions are posted <HERE>.
- Watch for more detail on monthly payments, and early payment programs when the 2026 rates are released next week.
Progress on the New SGCC Maintenance Building this week included the water connection under the 16th fairway to our main supply line that runs along Cartwright Road. Concrete was poured to finish the grade beam, and workers spent yesterday and today removing the concrete forms.
Congratulations
to
Christopher Harris on his Hole-in-One yesterday on Hole #12. And later in the day, our own Accounting Manager
Chelsea McLeod scored her first ever Hole-in-One on Hole #8.
Fun Facts: The office was decorated this week to celebrate birthdays for Heather (yesterday) and Kayla (today). Chelsea and Kayla were out for a pre-birthday round yesterday with friends, when she made her hole-in-one, and with that...Kayla and Chelsea (together) have witnessed a hole-in-one on 3 separate rounds of golf this year.
Have a Great Weekend
McLaren Taylor
