Fun Facts: The SGCC Men's Club Championship was won 5-times by Cliff Soberg between 1947 and 1954. Jim Scissons matched five wins between 1962 and 1989. The most by a current member is David Stewart with 4 wins. On the Women’s side, Gerry Street won 18 times between 1970 and 1996. Kathy Ziglo and Beth Davis have the most wins among current members with 8 each.

Records on Club Champions date back to 1922 for Men’s and 1927 for Women. Junior Boys started competing for Cub Championships in 1954, which would have included current member Jim Kennedy at the age of 12. In 1955, Jim Scissons won his first of 3 Junior Club Championships (1955,1959, and 1960). Matt Erikson and current (Junior) Member Jack Maharaj also have 3 wins. Sarah Henderson is our current Junior Girls Champion, eligible to compete for a fourth championship, and third win in a row this year.

Have a Great Weekend.
